South Indian History: Rashtrakuta Rise, Rulers and Deccan Power
The Kannada-speaking Rashtrakutas replaced Badami Chalukya power, ruled the Deccan and farther regions from the eighth to tenth centuries, and reached prominence under Dantidurga, Krishna I, Amogavarsha and Krishna III.
